Exploring Texture in Motion
Eric Reid began his painting journey in law school, as a sort of meditation. Away from the books and the cold logic of the law, painting provided the soul-affirming opportunity to be free from constraint. Painting empowered him to explore the world around us, as well as our place in it.
Eric credits this experience as the moment he fell in love with using unorthodox materials. To him, the point of painting was to not think and over-intellectualize, but instead, to play. His artistic process is highly organic, and each piece showcases his unfettered emotions breathed into life.
